Biography
A young rapper heads to Miami’s How Can I Be Down urban music conference determined to be heard. He’s already experienced a taste of what the music industry has to offer, both good and bad. As one half of the duo Da Link, the artist has a few performances under his belt. He is motivated by the frustration of trying to get label execs to pay attention. He pushes on despite the disappointment of a rhyming partner who does not have the same work ethic.

Since then Loose Cannon has remained tenacious. He single handedly built up a serious industry buzz, letting all those who would listen know that he was the hottest unsigned artist out there… a fact he made sure to back up. Loose’s hard work finally paid off in 2000, when he was featured in the Source Magazine’s coveted “Unsigned Hype” column. Shortly thereafter, a meeting with Charles Suitt, VP of A&R with Universal Records led to the deal Loose had been preparing for. While on the label, Loose recorded the unreleased album When All Hell Breaks Loose. Unfortunately, creative differences between Universal Records and Loose Cannon’s management did not leave the artist with much support for his project. Loose promoted a single from his album independently and even garnered bombs from Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex.

And now ” Who Do U Think U R ? “ is here, and the streets are waiting for it it. Featuring guest appearances by Rah Digga, Fat Joe and Tony Sunshine. The album features ten Loose Cannon originals with three skits. Bolstered by Loose’s talent for animated word crafting and powerful delivery each song has its own message and its own feel, from the street anthem to the club banger, creating a verbal collage of true life.” Who Do U Think U R ?” also features production from Nick “Fury”, Dame Grease, Scott Storch, Sedeck Jean and many more.

Loose Cannon is highly motivated, and still poses great danger to all haters. He’s taken each obstacle, each discouraging word and transformed into a true Hip-Hop superhero. “This is some Incredible Hulk shit right here,” says Loose, “but the nigga don’t turn back to Bruce Banner.”
