In a recent interview with Page Six - - the "entertainment" section of the conservative New York Post - - Snoop Dogg perpetuated the stereotype of the smoked out rap star. One month after being busted for possession of 200 grams of marijuana found on his tour bus in Amherst, Ohio, the Dogg was back at it.
"Did I get out? Yes. So it wasn't all that bad," Snoop told sarcastic interviewer Carey Levitan of the charges for which he faces up to 30 days in jail. "Cops know whenever I get off the bus that I'm smoking. It don't even matter. They need to legalize weed, because alcohol and tobacco are in the top five killers in the world, and marijuana ain't in the top 50."
Although Snoop has been happily married with children for four years, his XXX-rated home video "Doggystyle" was an easy target for those wishing to show Rap, and by association the Hip-Hop culture, as debase and obscene.
"It's in stores now for $49.95 - rush it or hush it!" Snoop says proudly of the video for which he personally auditioned every female cast member. A volume two of the porno is in the works, but according to Snoop: "…first I got to find some hoes on the road that want to get down and do it."
