While Restless is still
enjoying much success and popularity, Xzibit is already looking towards the
future. With tours planned in Europe & Asia, a DVD which will be released in
September this year, work on Dre's upcoming Detox and the Golden State
Project with Ras Kass and Saafir, it is amazing that X has found any spare
time. But he has, and he's been using it to work on his next album, Man Vs.
Machine.
"Restless was cool," Xzibit said of his current LP, which was
his first platinum success after two previous efforts. "I wish I had more
time to put it together. I was traveling, I was on the Up in Smoke Tour, I was
helping Snoop do his record. There was no set time where I had months and
months to sit with the album and work on it. It came out good but we can do
better."
Four tracks have already been finished and Xzibit hopes to release his fourth LP
late 2001/early 2002. It will feature production from very much the same team
that worked on Restless, Dr. Dre, Rockwilder, Mel Man and Rick Rock will
provide the beats, while Snoop, Eminem, Ras Kass and Saafir will lend their
vocals.
