South Capitol Recordings has announced today, the digital-only release of the Debut EP “Still Profound” on October 16, 2007 from emerging teen ensemble Profound Intent. The group which originally featured four members released their first record “Play the Field” in November 2006 and got mixed reviews. Since then they disappeared from the public eye and were actually last featured in On Tap Magazine in March 2007 which covered the story announcing the group found a replacement for Jahnae “Misty” Johnson - an original member who left the group amid their 2006 promo tour.
They’ve returned now with 2 new members – minus Alzater “Al-Baby” Acee - and their new critically-acclaimed hit-single “Let’s Get Krunk”.
Original members Devan “Lil’Ace” Brockenberry ( 16, Rapper-Singer ), Larry “LaPret” Pretlow ( 17, Rapper ) -the frontman-, and Kie'Arra "Mizz Redz" Pretlow ( 17, Rapper ) are joined by newcomers Russell "Rakiem" Tolson ( 16, Rapper ) and Shanice "Nee-Cee" Cooper ( 18, Lead Singer-Rapper ) to makeup the new Profound Intent with the intent to prove that they’re “Still Profound” despite the group’s recent changes and media controversy.
The new single “Let’s Get Krunk” was written solely by the groups’ five members whose “profound intent” was to cater to the clubs. The single releases to North America radio late-June 2007. Since May 14, 2007 the official myspace for the group has grossed a total of 15236 views to date. Visit the official website www.ProfoundIntent.net for news, updates and further release dates.
