In preparation for the release of his sophomore CD, The American Dream, Mike Jones is set to shoot the 2nd single from the album, "My 64," featuring Bun B and Snoop Dogg in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 19th (location TBA).
Directed by Dr. Teeth, the video and song for "My 64" pays homage to rap icon Eazy E and the classic 1964 Chevy Impala. Snoop takes Mike and Bun B through his LA as the clip shows the West coast and the love for classic 64's through Jones' eyes.
In 2005 the multi-platinum selling Mike Jones took the world by storm and reintroduced it to Houston with its candy paint, blinged-out grills and Screw music on a national level. He gave out his phone number on his recordings and in interviews (no other musician had been so accessible), and repeated his name continuously to make sure you didn't forget it. In addition to his musical inroads he starred in one of the hottest TV shows on network TV: Prison Break and is releasing a full feature film to accompany the CD for The American Dream.
