TVT Records hip hop artist and hit-making producer Lil Jon has not only received two nominations at BET's Hip Hop Awards -- including the Element Award: Producer Of The Year, and the Alltel Wireless People's Champ Award (Viewers' Choice)-he is also the announcer for the entire award show as well. The first annual BET Hip Hop Awards will be hosted by Katt Williams and air Wednesday, November 15th.
Currently, Lil Jon is producing and recording his highly anticipated solo album Crunk Rock from his new home in Los Angeles, set for release on December 2006. He will release "Act A Fool," a song from the album featuring Three 6 Mafia for one day only via his MySpace Page ( on October 31st.  Lil Jon describes the album to, "Im'a give people what they know and love me for-the Crunk s--t and the nice club records for the ladies to dance to. But also on this record, I've got live bands, crazy heavy metal and rock guitars so it's a mixture." Guest features and collaborations include Good Charlotte, Rick Rubin, Green Day, and Korn's Jonathan Davis.
Lil Jon recently produced the record "Go To Church" on Ice Cube's latest album Laugh Now, Cry Later, and paid tribute to the legendary rapper at this year's VH1 Hip Hop Honors held in New York City. This summer, the BME/TVT recording artist gave fans the anthem "Snap Yo Fingers," which topped Billboard's Hot 100 singles list; and Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop singles chart. Lil Jon is also making his mark in the world of movies and television having roles in this year's Scary Movie 4 and Date Movie, teaming up with Jermaine Dupri for a Heineken commercial, and currently being featured in a Subway commercial.
Founded in 2001 by Lil Jon, his label BME Recordings through TVT Records will release debut albums from female rap slayer Chyna White and songstress Oobie next year. BME Recordings is also home to Lil' Scrappy, E-40 and Trillville. Lil Jon has also become one of the most in-demand producers in music.  He has crafted his signature revolutionary sound from chants and catchy choruses, which have graced the likes of Usher, Ciara, E-40 and many more.
Lil Jon's consistent hitmaking has earned him legions of fans from Los Angeles to the Midwest to his native region, the South. This is no more evident as Lil Jon won BMI's Pop Songwriter of the Year in 2006, and in 2005 for Songwriter of the Year. He also scored eight Billboard Awards (Rap Song of the Year for "Lovers and Friends," Hot 100 Single of the Year for "Yeah,"
Hot 100 Airplay Single of the Year for "Yeah," Hot 100 Producer of the Year for "Yeah," Mainstream Top 40 Single of the Year for "Yeah," R&B/Hip-Hop Group of the Year 2003, Independent Album of the Year for Kings of Crunk and Independent Artists of the Year 2003), a Grammy (Best Rap/Song Collaboration for "Yeah"), a Radio Music Award (Song of the Year for Hip-Hop/Rhythmic Radio for "Yeah"), a BET Award, two MTV Video Music Awards, and an American Music Award.
