Family of the hip hop artist Notorious B.I.G. last year sued the city of Los Angeles for the wrongful death of Christopher Wallace in which they won a $1.1 million judgment.
After finding new evidence in the case, the US District Judge Florence-Marie Cooper has decided to push back the retrial to give the Wallace family attorneys an extended amount of time to prepare for the case.
The retrial of the case has been postponed to January 16, 2007 by U.S. District Judge Florence-Marie Cooper.
The case the Wallace family brought against the city of Los Angeles was based on claims that police officers were involved in the shooting which ultimately took the life of the Notorious B.I.G. in 1997.
The Notorious B.I.G. a.k.a. Christopher Wallace was shot and murdered shortly after leaving the Petersen Automotive Museum on March 9, 1997.
