Entertainment mogul, Sean "Diddy" Combs will join Phylicia Rashad, Audra McDonald and Sanaa Lathan in a small-screen version of the classic Lorraine Hansberry tale, "A Raisin in the Sun" to air on ABC Television in 2007.
Following a successful Broadway debut starring in the lead role of Walter Lee, Combs will serve as executive producer of the remake along with Sony Pictures producers, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. The award winning record producer will also supervise the music soundtrack.
The Combs led 2004 "Raisin in the Sun" revival was a huge hit on Broadway, widely credited with attracting a diverse audience to Broadway and earning two Tony Awards.
