With plans to recruit over 1,500 employees to meet the demands posed by a busy summer season, Universal Studios has partnered with Los Angeles Unified School District's First Break program, the Youth Opportunity Movement and City of Los Angeles' Employment Development Department to reach out to Southern California's young people and offer a "first break" and an opportunity to gain valuable work experience and training while enjoying the theme park's many employee benefits.
The LAUSD's First Break program will reach students from 55 high schools with employment opportunities that make a positive first connection with private industry.
