Hip-hop artist Nelly and a Bridgeport photographer who claimed he was roughed up by Nelly's bodyguard have reached a settlement.
Nelly has agreed to pay $20,000 to settle the claim filed by Jerry Livingston in Bridgeport Superior Court.
Livingston's lawyer said the incident occurred on April 12, 2005, when Livingston was taking photos near the stage while Nelly was performing.
According to his lawyer, Livingston was grabbed by Nelly's bodyguard, dragged backstage and beaten on the head and chest. He said the attack was broken off when the bodyguard realized Livington was using a still camera, not a video camera.
