Spitfire Media, a leader in high-end post production, was commissioned to create another MTV Behind-The-Scenes documentary, this time for Eminem's and Interscope's latest release "Curtain Call: The Hits."
 
"Curtain Call: The Hits" spans contributions from all four of Eminem's major-label solo albums: 1999's quadruple-platinum "The Slim Shady LP", 2000's nine-times-platinum "The Marshall Mathers LP", 2002's eight-times-platinum "The Eminem Show", and 2004's "Encore", which is almost five times platinum. The three most recent charted #1 Pop and #1 R&B/Hip-Hop, with his major-label debut #2 Pop and #1 R&B/Hip-Hop. Each of his first three albums also won the Best Rap Album Grammy (Encore will be eligible for the 2006 presentation). Eminem has to date sold more than 65 million albums.
 
The thirty minute documentary was edited by Spitfire Media's in-house editor Jared White. Spitfire was also responsible for creating the title sequence, as well as all bumpers, animations and additional graphics for the piece. "It was great to have the chance to generate a program to covered Em's entire career" declared White. "The biggest challenge was covering this massive archive of hit videos in such a concise amount of time."
 
Spitfire Media worked around the clock to make sure the documentary was completed before the deadline. According spokesperson Chris Vorhies Spitfire Media only had four solid days, start to finish, on this project. "We had two shifts running full-bore. Not a lot of sleep, but the end product was great. Interscope was really excited with the final piece."

The documentary was aired in conjunction with the release of "Curtain Call: The Hits" and shown on MTV, VH1, BET and FUSE.
 
Other behind-the-scenes documentaries created by Spitfire include Daddy Yankee's "Barrio Fino En Directo", 50 Cent's The Massacre Re-Issue and 50 Cent's "Many Men".
