Grammy-nominated rapper Lil Wayne will take the stage Thursday night with fellow bad-boy rappers Young Jeezy and Ti for the Kings of the Street hip-hop show at 7 p.m. at the Baton Rouge River Center. Max Pain, aka Maxinella, also will perform.

Lil Wayne, a native of New Orleans' 17th Ward, got his start as the youngest artist on the Cash Money Records label at 11 years old. He would go on to perform with Cash Money artists the Hot Boys, featuring rappers Juvenile, BG and Turk. Lil Wayne, now 20, just released his latest album, "Tha Carter, Volume 2," on Dec. 6.

Young Jeezy once worked as a promoter for Cash Money Records, before releasing his own album. In July, the Atlanta-based rapper released the album, "Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101," which went platinum and reached No. 2 on the Billboard chart. One of his songs mentions "Jeezy the Snowman," a symbol of his former cocaine-dealing days.

His famous snowman T-shirts angered anti-drug campaigners who motivated some schools to ban children from wearing the shirts, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Ti, also a platinum recording artist from Atlanta, released his album, "U Don't Know Me," this year. But many people came to know him as the King of the South after he stirred controversy in June 2004 by filming part of his rap video from a jail cell.

Ti, whose really name is Clifford Harris, was an inmate in a Marietta jail who was on work release at another jail in Atlanta, where he and his crew shot the film, according to an Associated Press report.

Rhythmlife Entertainment and House Party Productions is teaming up to host the all-star line-up. Tickets to the 7 p.m. show are available through Ticketmaster, and range in price from $42 to $100. For details, visit http://www.ticketmaster.com.
