Miami, FL – On Saturday, December 17, 2005, in addition to awarding Platinum Recording Artist Trick Daddy with the Outstanding Community Service Award and Jacksonville, Florida’s DJ Bigga Rankin with the Record Breaker of the Year Award the Florida Entertainment Summit will announce the winner’s of the “People’s Choice Awards”.
The Florida Entertainment Summit “People’s Choice Awards” nominations deadline is Tuesday, December 13, 2005 @ 12noon. Members of the entertainment community are invited to nominate Florida based individuals and/or companies supporting the advancement of independent entertainment by emailing power@FloridaEntertainmentSummit.com . The Florida Entertainment Summit “People’s Choice Awards” categories are as follows:
• #1 Radio Station Breaking New Music
• People’s Champ Award
• Model of the Year
• Independent Film Maker of the Year
The Florida Entertainment Summit created the “write in” approach for the “People’s Choice Awards” to expose the true choice of the people. Nominee’s of the “People’s Choice Awards” must be Florida based individual’s and/or businesses making notable contributions to Florida’s independent entertainment scene in 2005 and the nominations are accepted from people all over the world.
The Florida Entertainment Summit Awards Presentation is scheduled for Saturday, December 17, 2005 at the University of Miami Conference Center after the Florida Entertainment Summit panel discussions.
About the Florida Entertainment Summit
The Florida Entertainment Summit will debut in Miami on December 17, 2005 (due to the affects of Hurricane Wilma – originally scheduled for Saturday, Oct 29, 2005) and features panel discussions on film, modeling and music including topics such as DVD promotion and distribution, music publishing, publicity, endorsements, sponsorship soliciting and a host of others.
