The Washington Post published an article stating the police are fed up with rapper Camron and his lack of cooperation regarding the shooting on October 22 which left the rapper with gunshot wounds.

Polices have not been able to locate the rapper for questioning, and are looking for alternative ways to bring him in.

Camron has been noted to be on five years probation for a gun charge which they are considering a subpoena to force the rapper to appear before a grand jury.

Julez Santana and artist of Def Jam said Camron will not cooperate with the authorities.

"Cam isn't going to do it," Santana told the Washington Post. "It's not in our nature. He isn't going to stand up and point out a guy in a witness line and say, 'That is the dude who shot me.' We all came from the street."

Early in the morning of October 22 the shooting happened after Camron and 30 associates attempted to enter a nightclub which was hosting the annual homecoming block fest.

The crew was turned away due to dress code violations.

Cameron was wearing $200,000 in jewelry and was shot at while stopped at a red light after leaving the club.  The man who opened fire was in the Ford Expedition with burgundy color paint.

Protective Services officer witnessed the shooting which left Cameron with a minor gunshot which struck both arms.

As the gunman fled, the Protective Services officer gave chase.  Eventually the Expedition crashed into a parked car and the passengers of the vehicle jumped out through the windows and fled.

Fingerprints were found after the Expedition was searched. They also found a Nextel phone and gun shell casings.  A .45 caliber handgun was also found dumped in the alley.

Police tracked down the Expedition's owner who stated he had rented the SUV to someone else.

Without cooperation the case will likely be stalled despite having a potential suspect.

"We need the cooperation of witnesses and victims," D.C. Police Chief Charles H. Ramsey told the Washington Post. "I can't relate to that mentality. I can't comment on that thought process. I don't think much of it. I don't see the logic at all."

Juelz Santana speculated the entire incident was rooted over jealousy.
