LBC rapper branches out into food services with signature line of franks.
Ice-T had his frozen confections. Nelly, Lil Jon, and 50 Cent have their juices and energy drinks. E-40 is working on bringing SoCal burger joint Fat Burger to the Bay Area. Yet somehow all of that pales in comparison to what the LBC's crown king of rap has in mind.
Yep, Snoop Dogg has decided to enter the edible marketplace with, of all things, a line of hot dogs dubbed "Snoop Doggs."
The epicurian venture will see Snoop partnering with Franco Petrucci and Jeff Earp, former owner of Joe & Nemo's, a legendary Massachusetts hot dog establishment. The trio will be bringing devout dog lovers a new foot-long treat.
"There aren't any celebrity hot dogs out there," Snoop's brother and business manager Bing Worthington was recently quoted saying in the Boston Herald. "Who's the competition? Ball Park?....Imagine a long, skinny hot dog just like Snoop."
The rapper's line of hot dogs is being made in Massachusetts and will hit grocery stores in January.
This latest venture continues Snoop's expansion into alternative areas of marketing. You may recall that earlier this year Snoop announced his plans to release a skateboard via his new skateboard company.
