Yesterday, rapper 50 Cent caused a stir in a Bronx, NY neighborhood while shooting a scene for his upcoming feature film, Get Rich or Die Tryin'.
With assistance from nearly two dozen police officers, moviemakers shut down areas between McClellan Street, Jerome Avenue, E. 169th Street and Gerard Avenue. Businesses and stores were also temporarily shut down.
Not everyone was thrilled about shops being closed. "It astounds me that people who use these stores every day can't today because some rapper is making a movie," 29 year-old nursing student Katrina Latimore told the New York Daily News.
While some people were upset, others were excited to see the multiplatinum MC in the neighborhood, especially 22 year-old store cashier, Angel Velez. "I got to see 50 Cent and that was mad good."
There is still no word as to when 50's movie Get Rich or Die Tryin' will be in theaters.
