Mos Def has recently canceled his forthcoming tour, including an appearance at the Student Events in Gosman next Tuesday, due to a conflicting movie contract.
While the conflicting movie has yet to be revealed, Mos is set to star in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy this April and recently signed on to appear in The Italian Job II.
According their site, Student Events will refund all ticket holders. The annual spring event had already sold 1,600 tickets on campus at the time of the cancellation. Organizers say they were set to pay Mos Def and opening act Pharcyde upon their arrival.
Def also recently canceled a concert at Northeastern University scheduled for April 9.
