In support of rap artist Beanie Sigel's much-anticipated album, The B Coming, Damon Dash has filmed two documentaries through Dash Films, which will air on MTV2 and BET. A half-hour special titled "The Trial: Beanie Sigel," produced by Damon Dash's film company Dash Films, airs tonight (March 23) at 7: 30 p.m. E.T. on BET, with a re-airing on March 26 and March 28. The documentary follows Sigel as the rapper goes through the struggles of his trial in Philadelphia on federal gun charges, as friends and supporters Dash, Jay-Z, Kanye West, and the entire State Property/Roc-A-Fella family rally around Sigel. "The Trial" documents a man fighting for his life amidst a swirl of media, paparazzi, recording sessions and video shoots, as he prepares to be locked away from his loved ones. In a second documentary called "The Truth: Beanie Sigel," which is also produced by Dash, Sigel narrates the story of his life and career in his own words. "The Truth" is scheduled to run on March 29 at 7:30 p.m. E.T. The film takes a more personal road, which follows Sigel's life and career from his humble beginnings as a hustler on the streets of South Philly, to his eventual signing with Roc-A-Fella Records. "State Property II," which Sigel stars in, also hits theaters on April 13, while his album The B Coming drops March 29.
