Inga "Foxy Brown" Marchand is pissed off and considering legal actions in regards to reports that she was booted out of Manhattan, New York's Chung King Studios over a monetary feud last week. According to Daily News' Lowdown section, Foxy recently quarreled with studio owner John King over allegations of an unpaid bill and is now preparing for a lawsuit in New York State Supreme Court. Sources say Brown's legal team is contemplating to sue for defamation of character and music piracy of the Ill Na Na's last two CDs. Fox's team contends that the rapper's unreleased The Fever leaked from Chung King Studios onto the internet back in 2003. Though she never went public with her accusations, Marchand blamed King for the bootlegging. According to Lowdown, Fox did little to maintain their professional relationship. Just last week, Fox's team was informed that tracks from the femcee's forthcoming disc, Black Roses had been leaked. Lowdown says Fox attempted to "negotiate a resolution" without success. Meanwhile, King denied that his studio bootlegged Fox's upcoming project and asserted that he wanted to resolve the conflict. "I love my clients with all their faults," King told Daily News. "Foxy has more personality than all the rest of them put together. She's a tigress." While she wouldn't reveal much, Fox said she hopes her lawsuit could help resolve the bootlegging that has been affecting artists for years. "Because there's pending litigation, there's not much I can say... I'm an artist whose material was stolen, and my concern, more than anything, is not a one-on-one with John King or the studio," Marchand told Lowdown. "My concern is so no other artist has to go through with this again. It kills your creativity and your workmanship!" Brown also denied reports that she owed Chung King Studios for her recording sessions. "Artists are never able to leave the studio with their master recordings without the studio being fully compensated," she explained. "Let's just say that I've retained all my masters." Earlier this year, Brown became the first artist to sign with Island Def Jam under Jay-Z's regime. Black Roses is scheduled to drop later this year and will mark Fox's first release since 2001's Broken Silence.
