Yesterday Jay-Z announced that he is planning to open an education center. The former drug dealer turned record label exec told MTV.com that the S. Carter Academy will open this Spring.
The School will open in New York, focusing on music, sports, and fashion. Enrollment will begin next month and Jigga will have a television commercial promoting the event featuring himself and NY Knicks star Jamal Crawford.
In other news concerning Jigga's noble acts, last Friday Jay performed at Linkin Park's tsunami benefit concert at Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, CA. This was the first time that Young took the stage with the group since July 18th, giving the fans, who shelled out $85-125 for the tickets a memorable show. Cali Hip-Hop act Jurassic 5 also rocked the house.
