Fresh off winning "2005 Mixtape DJ of the Year" at the Southern Ent Awards this past sunday in Nashville, Tennessee, DJ Smallz starts 2005 with a bang.
New Orleans Legend, C-Murder of No Limit fame, presently awaiting a retrial in a second degree murder case, hosts DJ Smallz's award winning southern mixtape series "Southern Smoke Vol. 16: Murder For Life," an installment that will have the streets craving for more, and other DJs questioning their own CDs.
C-Murder premiers his highly anticipated new single “Y’all Heard Of Me” featuring B.G. from his brand new forthcoming album “The Truest Shit I Ever Said” dropping March 22nd on Koch Records. The highly anticpated new album includes all new music from C-Murder, including new collaborations featuring Trick Daddy, T.I., B.G., Capone, Soulja Slim and much more.
“It was incredible working with C-Murder. His hustle is crazy,” declared DJ Smallz, reminiscing about the once in a lifetime project. “When I got the call last month from his management that he was ready to hit the streets, my jaw dropped… This CD is an instant classic. We are starting off 2005 with a bang!.”
Other stellar exclusives on the new tape include a brand new T.I. and Lil' Flip song featuring Trina that was recorded prior to the highly publicized "beef." In addition to personal freestyles from Slim Thug and a slew of other Southern celebrities, include a brand new track from former Geto Boys member Big Mike, who is back on the streets from a short prison stint. Also included are two previously unreleased tracks that never made the new albums from The Game and Ludacris.
