Rapper / actor Kurupt and Golden Globe nominee David Carradine are set to star in "Click," an urban Western set at the end of the Civil War.
The indie film follows a group of outlaws out to rob the town bank in a lawless land. They run into trouble when a scheming cattle baron, a bounty hunter and a female sheriff stand in their way. Jean-Claude La Marre ("Gang of Roses") will direct.
Notwithstanding its period setting, "Click" will feature a hip-hop-driven soundtrack that will include original songs from rap artist Kurupt, who rose to fame as a member of chart-topping rap duo Tha Dogg Pound. On the big screen, he starred in the 2002 cop drama "Dark Blue," opposite Kurt Russell. Kurupt is currently signed to Suge Knight’s Death Row Records.
Carradine recently received a Globe nomination for his supporting role as the title character in Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill - Vol. 2."
