Free, a co-host of BET’s “106 & Park,” has refused to comment on this week’s rampant Internet rumor that she is pregnant with hip-hop rapper Jay-Z’s baby.
According to one e-mail sent to employees of various record labels, as well as staffers at MTV, Free also reportedly resigned from BET, giving notice that this month will be her last at the network.
While the Roxbury, Mass native has chosen to keep quiet, BET released the following statement regarding the matter late yesterday:
"There is no truth to the negative rumors or conjecture being reported about the private life or on-air status of Free. She has not resigned. Nothing has changed."
There is also talk that this may be a publicity stunt for Free's upcoming debut album.
