Production legend Dr Dre will take the helm once again for rap artist 50 Cent's second album, reportedly being lined up for a spring release.
The as-yet-untitled follow up to "Get Rich Or Die Trying" is being recorded at 50 Cent's home studio in Connecticut, reports Rolling Stone, and will feature contributions from Eminem, Lloyd Banks and Young Buck from his G-Unit group.
Rapper 50 Cent will also release a semi-autobiographical film later in the year based on his turbulent life.
"Lock and Loaded" follows Eminem's hugely successful "8 Mile" and will be directed by Jim Sheridan. Sopranos writer/producer Terence Winter" is handling the screenplay.
"I've been into rap music for a while," Sheridan told Rollingstone.com. "I love Public Enemy and Snoop. I met 50 Cent and we got on very well."
"Where I come from in Ireland is kind of like where he comes from - a tough, working-class neighbourhood where there's only two or three ways out: sports, drugs or music."
"The challenge will be combining the documentary feel with the excitement of the movies."
The film is expected to hit cinema screens this time next year.
