The "Best of Both Worlds" tour, scheduled at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Oh. tonight with rappers R. Kelly and Jay-Z, has been cancelled.
The U.S. Bank Arena was notified at 9 a.m. today that the show was off "due to logistical and production concerns from last night's show in Chicago. The remainder of the tour will proceed as scheduled."
The tour just got started Thursday night in Kelly's hometown of Chicago. Cincinnati was to be the second stop.
The show concludes Nov. 28 in Phoenix.
"We want people to be genuinely shocked and awed. We're on a shock-and-awe campaign," rapper Jay-Z said in a video statement just released before the tour.
"We want to blow up the world," Kelly said.
The two released a joint CD, "The Best of Both Worlds," in March 2002 and planned to tour since.
Because of legal problems facing Kelly, however, the tour was postponed.
The two now were scheduled to go on the road, performing their hits, including songs from their latest albums: Kelly's "Happy People/U Saved Me," and Jay-Z's "The Black Album."
Ticket refunds will be available from the point of purchase.
