Rap artist Busta Rhymes gave a knockout performance at Glasgow's Carling Academy last night on his first ever Scottish appearance.
The gig was stunning from start to finish with warm-up act Freestyle Master sending the place wild as he rapped over Franz Ferdinand's hit single Take Me Out.
Radio One DJ Tim Westwood then lifted the crowd's spirits even higher.
Busta's crew the Flipmode Squad appeared in bursts with his DJ taking to the stage first and giving a jaw dropping display of scratching.
Then suddenly Busta strolled out to hysterical screams clad in a green and gold tracksuit with matching baseball cap.
He opened with one of his older tunes, Ante Up, and followed that with the more recent Make It Clap, taken from his last album It Ain't Safe No More, and everyone clapped along in unison.
The smash hits kept coming as Busta did the Neptunes-produced Light Your Ass On Fire and his duet with Maria Carey, I Know What You Want - minus her vocals, naturally.
Before I Know What You Want he explained to the Academy how he likes to impress a lady assisted by sound effects from his DJ - leaving the entire crowd laughing their heads off.
Busta closed the show with the most well-received song of the night, his smash hit single Pass The Courvoisier, as the crowds bounced in the air waving their hands in a frenzy.
Glasgow's hip hop scene has been disillusioned recently with the multiple cancellations of concerts but after last night it is back with an almighty bang. Busta Rhymes - we thank you.
