According to MTV; Rapper Joe Budden was arrested in Queens, New York, Tuesday afternoon for driving with a suspended license.
According to a police spokesperson, officers pulled over Budden in a current model BMW around 3 p.m. for speeding on the Clearview Expressway. He was driving 76 mph in a 50 mph zone. Police then discovered that Budden was driving with a suspended license and arrested him.
Budden remained in jail overnight and was arraigned Wednesday morning (July 14) in Queens criminal court. He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree and speeding, according to a spokesperson for the Queens district attorney. Budden paid a $300 fine and was released on his own recognizance.
The rapper recently ended a stint as host of New York's Hot 97 morning show and is currently putting the finishing touches on a new album due out in the fall.
