Afroman will release a new two-disc set titled Afroholic: The Even Better Times on April 20. The set is the follow-up to The Good Times, the singer's 2001 album that contained the hit single "Because I Got High." Afroholic features more than 30 new songs which once again appear to cover the topics near and dear to the artist with titles like "Let's Get High Tonight," "Freak With You" and "Just My Paranoia."
In a statement, Afroman, whose real name is Joseph Foreman, said, "On Afroholic: Even The Better Times, I'm talking about stuff I know, like getting drunk, getting high, chasing women, selling dope and even my feelings for God." He added, "There's a depth to this recording that hopefully will let listeners know I'm not just some guy who won the drunk karaoke lottery with 'Because I Got High' and got a record deal."
"Because I Got High" climbed to Number 13 on Billboard's Hot 100, and it was the winner of the 2001 High Times Doobie Award for Pot Song of the Year.
