After more than a decade in the game, Redman has decided that he, too, must evolve with the times. The Def Squad's cleanup hitter has come with his first mixtape, not only with the intent of re-establishing himself, but to introduce some of the new MCs in his Gilla House crew.

The tape is called 'Gilla House Presents: Redman - Ill at Will Mixtape Volume 1'.

Joints to check for:

  • "I C Dead People" featuring Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, Big L and Big Pun - Eminem produced this record. Here, the Funk Doc Spoc samples lines from his deceased peers to help him finish off some the sentences in his rhymes.
  • "Bricks Standup" - Red raps over Jay-Z's "What More Can I Say" and declares himself the best pound-for-pound spitter in the rap game. "If Jay heard the verse, he ain't mad."
  • "Search 4 Barney" - One listen to this freestyle will erase any notions that Red has lost a step. He declares he still has his mojo, shamelessly tells the world he needs a loan from Jay-Z to buy the New Jersey Nets back and promises to leave MCs shaking like Muhammad Ali.
