With over 4 million in records sales for their last album, D-12 is coming back with there second group album titled D-12 World.
Made up of Proof, Eminem, Bizarre, Kon Artist, Swift and Kuniva - D-12 has made a name for themselves with their first group effort becoming a multi-platinum debut with two chart-topping hit singles in "Purple Pills" and "Fight Music."
This time around they are ready to show their growth and touch on more serious subjects, but not losing their humor either.
"At this point in our careers our business sense has matured in many ways," says Kuniva of their upcoming album. "On 'D12 World' there's more of a balance, you'll still find lighthearted material, but we touch on serious subjects as well."
Some of the more serious material on the album would be for example "Good Die Young," where the group sends out a ode to fallen group member Bugz, who was one of the original D-12 members before they recorded their first album.
"'Good Die Young' didn't have a chance of making 'Devil's Night,'" states Kuniva. "It's just too sentimental."
Another more serious song is "Loyalty," where in the lyrical content they move to more than just jokes and funny punchlines. On this song they proclaim their loyalty to their family, Shady Records.
The lead single off the new LP will be "My Band," which is a more fun song and back to their original formula. On the track the group members poking fun at the fact that they have to share the spotlight with Em.
The video for the new single is set to be shot in Los Angeles at the end of February.
D-12 World is set to drop April 27th, 2004.
