This Tuesday, January 20, some of the biggest names in hip-hop will burn up the small screen as Artisan Home Entertainment releases the Belly Special Edition DVD and Exclusive Music CD available in one collectible package.
Featuring an all-star cast including NAS, DMX, Method Man, Taral Hicks, and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, this hip-hop paragon tells the story of two small-time thieves who gain increasing power and money through the drug trade.
The Belly Special Edition DVD is loaded with gripping extra features including a director’s commentary, multiple “Spoken Word” featurettes, the “Grand Finale” music video, a trailer gallery and a deleted scene. The special edition DVD and Exclusive Music CD will be available in one special package for the low suggested retail price of $26.98. Pre-book date is December 16, 2003.
All-new packaging features a special sticker announcing the unique “total” package that includes the special edition DVD and the Exclusive Music CD. Artisan will offer consumers a $5 mail-in rebate with the purchase of both the Belly Special Edition DVD and Exclusive Music CD packaged together and the upcoming release of Artisan’s House of the Dead DVD.

The newly re-mastered 16x9 Belly Special Edition DVD is presented in 5.1 dts-es Digital Discrete Surround Sound, and is loaded with exciting special features including director’s commentary, multiple “Spoken Word” featurettes, the “Grand Finale” music video, and a deleted scene. The DVD also includes interactive menus, a trailer gallery, and optional Spanish subtitles.
BELLY Synopsis
When two small-time urban thieves decide the real money is in drug dealing, they climb methodically to the top using violence to gain power and money. Over time they begin to reform their ways, but only after the realization they’d rather live out their lives morally than be killed in the streets or sent to jail.
