Rapper Mike West, featured in such magazines as The Source and XXL, has just inked a with DPG Recordz/Gangsta Advisory Distribution.
Mike West along with Daz Dillinger's help plans to release Mike West's independent album titled A Westside Story Chapter 1. The album will be released with a special 60-minute DVD documentry that will feature behind the scenes with Mike West.
"It's good to be independent," Mike West said of his recent distribution deal.
The lead single, "Don't Know Me" produced by the TrackJunkiez, is already getting a buzz on the streets insuring Mike West some momentum with this release. There is also a street remix to the single making noise in South Florida.
Guest appearances will include Daz Dillinger, Mopreme Shakur, Mr.Mook and comedian Alex Thomas. The new album will have 18 tracks.
West is also planning his next single, "Grand Finalie" featuring Miami's own Pitbull, who recently inked his own deal with TVT Records.
