A raft of hip-hop stars including P Diddy, Method Man, Nas and OutKast have contributed to a new film about Brian De Palma's 1983 cult classic film, Scarface.
Starring Al Pacino as the cocaine-ravaged Cuban refugee Tony Montana, the film was a commercial and critical failure when first released but has slowly gathered a huge cult following.
The film, always seen in pride of place during any MTV Cribs featuring a hip-hop celebrity's home, has made frequent appearances in rap records including tracks by Public Enemy, Ice Cube and Nas.
Talking in the documentary, which features on a new DVD edition of the film, Nas explains the significance of the film: "We are all savages in pursuit of the American dream."
The documentary also coincides with a new Def Jam album release, 'Music Inspired By Scarface', which features tracks from Mobb Deep, Jay-Z and the Notorious B.I.G.
Other artists interviewed for the documentary include Wu-Tang's Ghostface Killah, Trick Daddy, Eve and Scarface.
The documentary is available on the two-disc Anniversary Edition of Scarface released by Universal Studios Home Entertainment.
