Jury selection will start tomorrow in the case of Corey "C-Murder" Miller, who allegedly shot a 16-year-old to death in a Jefferson Parish, New Orleans nightclub.
Steve Thomas, who used a fake ID to enter the club, argued with Miller and was subsequently shot in the chest inside of the Platinum club. Almost 300 people were inside of the club the night of the shooting and several witnesses identified Miller as the shooter.
Miller, who was out on bail for an unrelated attempted murder charge at the time Thomas was shot, claims that he is the victim of mistaken identity.He admits to being at the club but has denied that he was the shooter. He has pled not guilty.
In May of 2002, a judge revoked Miller's bond for $2 million dollars, after prosecutors claimed he had friends threaten witnesses.Miller allegedly used a cell phone that was smuggled into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center by prison guards to call associates and have them harm or influences witnesses.
Two guards were fired for helping Miller sneak the cellphone into the prison.Miller is the brother of mogul Master-P and Silkk The Shocker.
