I wanted to post this article, not because I am a huge Nelly fan, but because it shows that some of these guys do good things in the community with the money they make. Artist like P. Miller , who gives to the community in which he was raised,  and Nelly are hard to find nowdays. This is just my opinion but it seems the money is the most important thing to alot of these guys, and they really forget where they came from.

This is true not only in the music industry but you see it everywhere. Pro ball players; some give back and some just expect to be treated like they are the most important thing.

In this article about Nelly you will see he is flipping the cost for the educational materials and the cost for the test.

I just feel we should reconize those who 'Stand Up' an address the problems and try to help. There are plenty of people on the side-line just 'bitching' about what is wrong.

This article just points out all rappers and hip hop performers are not 'gangsta-thug type's.

You may not like Nelly, but maybe this article will help you gain a little respect for him. Maybe not as a musician but as a man who has the means and is willing to help; even if it cost him some presidents.

Tupac did alot of charity work and started some things 'in the hood' that are still going today. I know there is a scholarship fund in his name that helps inner-city kids in L>A> have a chance for college, among other things.

If you would like to see more of these examples of people being part of the solution, up lifting the community instead of being part of the problem: let me know. And when I run across articles like this I will post them here for you. Maybe it will help us all look forward to 'Better Dayz'..

Well here is the article and remember to post a comment or e-mail me.

The rapper held similar drives in St. Louis and Los Angeles in June and more than 1200 people signed up with the National Marrow Donor Program Registry. Nelly's 4 Sho 4 Kids Foundation will sponsor the cost of the tests required to join the registry as well as the educational materials for all potential donors.

The donor drive will take place from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the 369th Armory which is located at 2366 5th Avenue at 143rd Street in Manhattan.

Nelly and his 30-year-old sister, Jacqueline "Jackie" Donahue, who is in immediate need of a bone marrow transplant, started the Jes Us 4 Jackie initiative. Jackie was initially diagnosed with leukemia in 2001 but the disease went into remission for two years before she experienced a relapse in January 2003. Her doctors informed her at the time she would need a bone marrow transplant.

Nelly said in a statement that he's committed to the effort even if a donor is found for Jackie. He said, "If we did that would be terrific, if we didn't, hopefully we may have helped others and we will continue to search to find one for Jackie. This is bigger th
